You may be asking yourself, quite literally, how can a smile change the world if you haven't already wondered if, in case, it was possible at all. How can one smile on my face lead to world peace? Very good question my friend.
Now brace yourself for the answer.
Imagine having $86,400 being put in your bank account every single day. What would you do with that money? I bet you wouldn't waste a single dollar, would you? Now think of every dollar as every minute. We are granted the privilege of having 86,400 minutes every single day. Make each one count.

Welcome to my new blog!
I've learned a lot these past couple months; about myself, on what I'd like to pursue in the future, on how to write/blog, and many other random fun things that have made me into who I am today. This revamped version of my blog will include previous posts that I think are worthy of reposting and other themes/subjects that plague my mind as well as my daily adventures, development issues, and other random things that I may feel like posting. Now you may be wondering what 'Smile for Change' even means. For all those who know me personally, the one thing you know is that I'm always smiling and/or laughing. There's a whole story behind when and why I started smiling so often in the first place but I'll save it for another post. I truly believe that something as small as a smile, that comes from the heart, can make a world of a difference to the person it's directed to. You never know what other people are going through so to offer them a warm smile, that only takes a split second and only 17 muscles, can instantly boost their mood and perhaps even brighten their day. Most often than not, the recipient of that smile often reciprocates it in acknowledgement. You see, you have the power to change someone's mood for a split second. Now imagine how much power you have if you smile at every person on the street and everyone you meet. Crazy, huh? We often forget how much potential we have within us that goes untapped. And often underestimate the power of change within small acts. You don't need a million dollars to make a change. You don't need a PhD to make a change. You don't need to make grand gestures either. All you need is an open heart and a willingness to stand up for what you believe in. Integrity by example and be the change. That is the basis of who I am. I believe in the power of small things that amount to bigger differences. I believe that kindness is contagious. And it all starts with a smile. I warmly welcome you to my world where I will not hold back, not fearing judgement, but to spread my message that smiles really can make a change. :) |
