Last time I checked my calendar, I could've sworn it was mid-September and I was ready to begin a new semester. In the blink of an eye, December has begun and so has the season of final exams.
December is a month filled with meaning. Students working feverishly to end off the semester with a bang while others contemplate on their christmas lists and splurge on gifts that often end up collecting dust somewhere in storage.
December is also the last month of the year. The month where we contemplate what this year has taught us, how it has uplifted and assisted in our growth over the past year before we make new resolutions the following month.
December is a month of reflection. Of tying up loose ends and of finishing off a chapter to begin a new one.
Let us be mindful in our everyday lives, let us live, breathe, and laugh with the sole intention of living fully in the present moment.
December is a month to let go of the old to make way for the new in the new year.
So live cheerfully, reflect, and grow.
